Um filme de adolescentes muito bem ambientado nos anos 70 com a crise do petróleo. Paul sabe trabalhar com revelações. Um filme leve, com ótima trilha sonora. Enfim, mais um capricho desse ótimo diretor num filme pessoal.

Roteiro com pouca linearidade narrativa ou até mesmo arcos propriamente ditos, recortes sem muito sentido, além da entediante volatilidade no relacionamento do casal protagonista, muito da característica de Paul Thomas Anderson. Créditos para a química da dupla com ótimas atuações de Cooper Hoffman ( filho do saudoso Philip Seymour Hoffman ) e Alana Haim.
